Venue Details

This year's RIDS Fall Conference will take place at the Downtown Providence Marriott Hotel, One Orms Street, Providence, RI. Complimentary on-site parking and Wi-Fi access will be available for the duration of the event.

Target Audience: Dermatologists and other professional healthcare providers

Objectives: At the conclusion of this program, attendees should be able to:

· Discuss different types of high-risk skin cancers

· Appreciate that roles are evolving in the management of skin cancers

· Describe different types of high-risk skin cancers

· Differentiate between benign-appearing skin lesions and rare neoplasms using histology, immunochemistry, and imaging to guide

· Define how adipose tissue influences inflammation at the skin for the appropriate diagnosis.

· Recognize clinical clues for cutaneous manifestations of autoimmune disease

· Apply diagnostic reasoning to identify allergic contact dermatitis (ACD)in complex cases by recognizing and mitigating cognitive biases such as anchoring, confirmation bias, and availability heuristics.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Accreditation Criteria and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Rhode Island Hospital and the Rhode Island Dermatology Society. Rhode Island Hospital is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
